Prize aplenty for winners

Rosmimah binti Haji Bujang emerged as the grand prize winner of the AIFA Hari Raya Lucky Draw 2022, taking home an AIFA 85″ LED Smart 4K TV and a PEVY wireless microphone. The draw, held at the residence of AIFA Managing Director Andy Lau in Kampong Lambak, saw 38 shortlisted names, including Rosmimah, drawn by Dato Paduka Haji Danial bin Haji Hanafiah. Other winners included Mohamad Izzat Izuddin bin Abdullah Leong, who won an Elba 5 gas cooker burner, and Md Amirol Faizol Rizal bin Haji Ahmad, who received an Elba Built-in Coffee Machine and Warner Drawer.

Association swears in new leadership

The Fuzhou Shiyyi Association in Brunei Darussalam celebrated the inauguration of its new president, Dr. Andy Lau Sie Chuong, alongside the new executive committee at a ceremony graced by distinguished guests including Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof. Founding president Jackson Ting highlighted the association's journey of hard work and sacrifice over the past 11 years. The new leadership, comprising Jeff Yong Teck Chin as deputy president, and vice presidents Wong Nan Luk, Raymond Ting Sii Kiong, Ngu Howe Ing, and Vincent Pao, pledged to uphold the association’s objectives of fostering business cooperation and friendship.

Religious school staff wins big screen TV in lucky draw

Cleaner at a Kuala Belait religious school, Marani binti Abdullah, won the grand prize in AIFA Sdn Bhd’s Hari Raya Lucky Draw, taking home an 86-inch LG Smart TV. Marani, 50, expressed her surprise at winning the TV, having hoped for a fridge instead. She plans to keep the TV as a special once-in-a-lifetime prize. AIFA's 39th anniversary event awarded BND30,000 worth of prizes to 39 lucky winners.

Company launches energy efficient air conditioners

AIFA Sdn Bhd unveiled its new range of Aifa, LG, and Elba air conditioners, compliant with the Department of Energy's Efficiency (Standards and Labelling) Order, 2021. The event, focused on promoting energy-efficient products, took place at AIFA Managing Director Dr. Andy Lau’s residence in Kampong Lambak Kanan. Attendees included Rodfy bin Louis from the Energy Transition Division and other ministry officials. Dr. Lau highlighted the company's commitment to offering a wide range of air conditioners and praised the government's efforts to combat global warming. He also announced the expansion of their service and training center, set to open in 2024.

Breaking new ground to improve service, training

AIFA Sdn Bhd held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new service and training centre behind their headquarters in Perindustrian Lambak Kanan. The event was officiated by AIFA Managing Director Dr. Andy Lau and attended by AIFA General Manager Lily Ngo, Dr. Lau's family, and AIFA staff. Dr. Lau expressed delight at receiving approval from DARe and anticipates the building's completion within two to three years. The expansion aims to enhance after-sales service and establish a training center in collaboration with IBTE and other institutions to educate the next generation on household appliances and electronics. He also thanked the government and announced the inclusion of a two-storey staff house in the construction plans.
